Privacy Policy

At Baker Creed we recognise the importance of absolute confidentiality in the recruitment process and we are dedicated to safeguarding and preserving your privacy when visiting our website (the "Website") or communicating electronically with us.

This privacy policy (the “Policy”) explains what happens to any personal data that you provide to us or that we collect from you when you are on the Website.  By using and visiting the Website and providing us with your personal details you consent to the Policy.  We update the Policy from time to time so please return and review it regularly.

What information do we keep about you and how do we store it?
Any personal details which we may collect from you via this website will be stored on our secure electronic database which is only accessible by our consultants or staff, our software provider and the hosting company. We may also print out such details and store them securely in hard copy form.

How do we use the information we hold?
We use the information provided by you either to supply you with suitable candidates or to place you in suitable employment depending upon whether you are a client or a candidate.  In the case of candidates we will only disclose information about you to prospective employers with your express consent.  In both cases, we will use the information you provide to us to keep in contact with you.  We may use aggregate information (which does not identify you individually) for monitoring purposes.

What about email and other communications?
If you are a client, we will use the details you provide to us to contact you about suitable candidates for your company’s job vacancies.   If you are a candidate, we will use the details you provide to us to contact you about job vacancies.  In both cases, we may also send you information which we think may be of interest to you. You may elect not to receive such information at any time by sending an email to the contact address at the end of the Policy.

Can you see a copy of the information we hold about you?
Yes. You, as an individual, have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you on our database.  Please note that the extent of the information which we provide to you shall be in accordance with the Data Protection Act.  Any demand for access may be subject to payment of a fee of £10 which covers our costs in providing you with the information requested.  You can send an email request to the contact email address at the end of the Policy.

What about links to third party websites?

You might find links to third party websites on the Website. These websites should have their own privacy policies which you should check.  We do not accept any responsibility or liability for their policies whatsoever as we have no control over them.

What are 'cookies' and why do we use them?
